So yes, I have been VERY slack about writing. Things have been very busy and uninspirational. I feel like I haven't had time to think about anything and therefore have found nothing even remotely inspiring. It's a poor excuse, I know, but I've been going to bed early to try to stay healthy and energized and it has paid off. I feel good and fairly unstressed.
Last night was the last bootcamp session. I've signed up for another round because I've really enjoyed it and was delighted to see good results overall. I had initially thought I would hold off on the weigh in and measurements until after the second session because I was convinced that I wouldn't see any difference but much to my delight, the results were this - I lost 5lbs AND I lost around 11 inches overall! (They add up all the inches you lose on each body part - waist, bust, hips/butt, thighs and arms. I have to say, I didn't see or feel smaller but I was walking taller coming home last night! I was so proud of myself that I've stuck with it and made it work. I also use a website called The Daily Plate to track everything I eat. It really helps you keep track of the nutritional composition of food - and not just fat and calories. It also includes fibre, cholesterol, sodium and protein. You can also track your exercise/calorie burns too. It's a great site and I highly recommend it. Anyway, I'm pleased as punch to see that I'm getting somewhere and that it's paying off. This was a big challenge for me and I've proven to myself that although I may have been the oldest and biggest person in the group, I can not only keep up, I can sometimes outrun the young'ns.
