Thanks

I love Thanksgiving. It's probably my favorite holiday (next to Halloween and yes, I've decorated already.) It's kind of obvious to point this out, I know, but Christmas really does come earlier every year. I was at Dollarama this week (I hate Dollarama. It smells like synthetic everything. I had to go there to buy stuff for work. Not for me.) and I overheard these women saying that they had come looking for Christmas decorations! As if this was not appalling enough, they then proceeded to say how it was ok to put up your Christmas tree, wait for it, NOVEMBER FIRST! How could that be ok? October was too soon but November was just fine. Truth be told, I love Christmas too. I love the whole kit and kaboodle of it all. My partner hates Christmas. He would avoid the whole thing if I let him. But I don't.
So yes, I love Christmas. But I reserve that love for December, when you can truly enjoy it and know that it's coming to an end in a few weeks. But this weekend - it's Thanksgiving. We're going to visit my brother and his family and I'm hoping it's going to be fun. He lives in Montreal and I love Montreal. We're going to have a big traditional meal with all the fixins' and revel in knowing that Christmas is a long way off yet. With no decorations in sight.
Enjoy!
