As I mentioned the other day, on the weekend I was watching my fella hack the heck out of our apple trees in the backyard. Suddenly I heard something that made my ears prick up and say - that sounded like a kitten!
Sure enough, as we craned our heads, we heard some little mews coming from one of our peony bushes.
Here's one of what we found:
so, so cute.
it broke my heart.
I didn't manage to get a picture of the other 3 (the mama moved them before I had a chance to) but there was one other tabby, a black and white one and a calico.
It just doesn't get any cuter.
I hope they'll be ok.
Here's my bid for responsible pet ownership - if you are going to have a cat - get it fixed, especially if you're going to let it roam. The last thing this city needs is more stray cats.
If you can't afford it, don't get one. It's all part of being a parent!
Enough said.

I know I sometimes feel like I can save the world and take on more than I can handle, but you know cats have a way to taking care of themselves.
It's true. I always feel like I have to "fix" things but honestly, it was a relief when we didn't have to. We are cat lovers and do our part but we can't take care of them all.
Thanks for your comment!
