Duh...Diary

Don't you hate it when you go to say something and it leaves your brain as you open your mouth?
That's what just happened.
I have no idea what this post was going to be about.
Which doesn't really matter since I'm realizing that no one reads this blog.
Anyway -
One thing I am remembering to mention is that I want to start working (again) on my other blog - Diary.
I had been trying to figure out how to go about that blog.
The basic premise is this:
I've kept a diary since I was about 12. I have all of those diaries. I thought it would be a fascinating exercise to post the entries on a blog.
Some of the entries are hilarious.
Some are excruciatingly embarassing (they show just how weird I was as a child. And I'm realizing that I haven't changed a whole lot soooo....yes. I'm a weird adult too.)
Anyway - I've got a bunch of them typed out, I just have to start posting them.
I was trying to figure out how to keep them anonymous but I think I'll just figure it out as I go. Obviously I don't want to publicize my identity but at the same time, I don't think they are anything to be ashamed of (except that my will will state that they are to be burned in the event of my death....hypocrite? yep.)
So there you go - blog number two heading for an update, well peraps an evolution is more like it.
We'll see how it goes.

Plans for the weekend?
Farmer's market (fruits and vegetables here I come! Do you know? I hate the word "veggies". There's something so...I don't know. It's like people who abbreviate months like "Jan" instead of January or "Feb" instead of February. You're probably thinking - people do that? And my reply is - yes they do.  And yes, I hate it. ergh.)
I need to plan next week's meals so I know what to buy so things won't rot in the fridge as they usually do (which irks fella to no end.) Healthy girl here i come!
On the way back from the Farmer's market I'm going to troll the streets for garage sales. I really want to find my desk....

New screen doors have arrived! We ordered them from Home Depot, got a great deal, and I can't WAIT to install them! They have the kind of screens that roll into the frame so when the window is closed, you're looking through the glass, not the grainy screen.

Here's a photo:

The doors we have are wretched. The closers don't work properly so they either slam or take forever to close, which is not good for two kitties who have already dashed towards freedom a couple of times! Scary! A couple of weeks ago fella put his elbow through the screen on the side door (because it doesn't open wide enough) so we've been hosting a wide range of flies in the house since then. Anyway - good times are coming! ( I really never throught I'd get excited about some thing like this. How things change when you're a homeowner!)

Here's what I'm hoping to find at garage sales (other than my desk)

I saw one of these at the antique market last week and loved it.
Probably should have bought it but ah well.

LOVE these! (how could you not?)

And any other cuties that I happen upon.

Enjoy your weekend!
