check

tasks accomplished this weekend:

curtain rod up in bedroom and curtains hung.
(not the curtains we actually bought for the bedroom. We failed to notice that they are extraordinarily long. And wide. very, very wide.
Now we have curtains up that are the curtain equivalent of wearing floods.
They look ridiculous.
But you know what?
I don't care much because they keep the room warmer and do make it look cozier - if a little long in the leg, so-to-speak)

curtain rod up in my office and curtains hung.
(these were more successful)

2 more pictures/art on the walls.
the drill was out. It was time.

Failed attempts:

the cheap frame I bought for my Ork poster
The mat is the wrong size. Now I have to buy a matt
(and come to terms with the fact that I don't know if mat has one t or two)

I had the brilliant idea of using pasta sauce and pickle jars to put home made treats in for Christmas gifts.
On Friday I bought spray paint to paint the lids of the jars (so they don't say "Classico" or "bicks" on them. They are more charming with white lids, thinks I.
So I bought white spray paint and it said on the container to spray it with 2 thin coats.
After the first coat, let it dry for an hour and resprap
OR
wait 36 hours or paint will peel.
I did the first coat on Friday night.
I did the second coat about 30 minutes ago.
That's almost 48 hours.
What happened?
Instant buckling and peeling.
What the heck?
NOW what?
humph.

I am NOT crafty.
I repeat:
NOT CRAFTY.
Good thing I went to Michael's on Friday and bought some bags for treats.
I may be able to salvage the lids with some festive fabric and a glue gun but honestly,
I fear for the fate of this project....
