chic treats

you know what's kind of funny?

that there are "fashionable" treats.

last year it was peppermint bark.

i was trying to figure out what the treat of the week

(so to speak!)

was for this year and I think I've got it.

S'mores.

It's kind of a funny choice

and I associate them more with summer than Christmas

but I suppose they work.

When I was a kid, we never made s'mores.

I think the ingredients were too pricey.

My mom kept it basic:

marshmallows

weenies

and once, on an extra special day,

she made little grilled cheese sandwiches over a bonfire.

extra yum.

I don't think the grilled cheese sandwiches would make great gifts, though....

I don't know why I shared that bonfire menu info with you.

 I think it was mainly because I wanted to use the word "weenies".
