Ok - I"m going to share something really gross.

Last night I got home late

(went to see the new Harry Potter movie!)

and I went to set my coffee maker for the morning

(it has a timer so it's waiting for me after my shower. Love that basic, yet necessary feature!)

It's an old Krups coffee maker but it makes great coffee. It's a very basic model that I've had for years.

I opened the top of it to take out the filter basket and found this:

There was a SPIDER in my coffee maker!

Now I have to say, I am not afraid of spiders nor particularly irked by most bugs

but in my coffee maker?

That

is

completely

gross.

Now I want to buy a new coffee maker.

I just can't get the image out of my head of seeing it crawl further into the machine when I opened the top.

I rinsed and washed it over and over and I took it apart as much as I could

(as I said, it's a basic model - there's not a lot to it.)

but could find said spider.

So I prepared my coffee and tried to block it out.

But it's still creeping around in my head,

so to speak.

Yuck.
