somebody stop me

I made the mistake of going to Anthropologie yesterday.

I also made the mistake of giving myself lots of time to poke around and try things on

(maybe the trying things on could be considered mistake #3)

Luckily I went to the sale room first and I found this:

and then I spied with my little eye

this!

 the photo does it no justice. It's gorgeous.

It's totally overpriced

but I bought it anyway

(apparently I look great in navy! I've always harboured a completely unfounded dislike for navy but I'm coming around these days...)

and this:

this dress is gorgeous but I don't think it looks very good on me so I may take it back.

I didn't get it in this colour - I got it in grey with a cream lining.

It has beautiful details - a delicate,mesh like fabric with a silky lining.

The hem at the bottom of the dress has pleats of gathers of the meshy fabric and the "slip" under the dress has a beautiful stiched detail.

But:

as you can see in the photo - the hem is uneven.

At first I thought this was a flaw so I went to their site to look it up

and it isn't.

But it's kind of weird.

So it may go back.

It was also $148 so I don't know if it's worth it.

Note that I only bought

one

item that was on sale.

I can never go back there....

(at least not til after Christmas!)
