It's oh so quiet

Overall it's been a peaceful long weekend.

I've caught up on some much needed rest, laundry and enjoyed Brooklyn gin ( a souvenir from our trip to New York last month) and movies in the back yard. 

Our hood tends to be quiet on long weekends which is a welcome respite from commuting to the busy downtown core everyday - it's one thing I love about living in the old Toronto suburbs - maybe I'm getting old - but I love the quiet. Sensory overload from looking at flowers in my backyard far outweighs the bible beaters and car horns that seep into your brain throughout the week.
