fight against the fall

it's feeling fallish and I can't say that I like it.

I'm not ready for the change of season

for summer to end.

I already miss summer's heat and humidity 

(although my hair is looking much better for lack of it)

So I decided that I would paint my nails today.

In a very summery colour:

this is not a great representation of the colour. it's actually a fairly bright pink. (watermelon by essie)

I don't paint my fingernails often because I'm always wrecking them.

It's just too much work sometimes.

This afternoon we're heading over the the Square Foot Show at the AWOL gallery on Ossington. 

Each piece of art is only $200 and are one square foot.

We didn't buy anything last year 

(and frankly, can't afford anything this year since this morning's trip to the vet with Chester set us back almost $600)

but I still love to go and see what's there.

It just opened yesterday and closes September 5th 

and it's free!
