On Saturday we drove to Port Hope in hopes of finding some interesting things.
We were kind of disappointed!
There used to be some great antique shops
and other points of interest
but it seemed like it had changed.
We were a little disappointed.
Later in the day, we met friends for dinner and then hit the Phantom Farm
We stood in the rain for over an hour to get in and, sadly, it was a little disappointing too.
There was one "prop" that stood out, however. It was particularly vile - a severed head with the spinal cord still attached.
The spinal cord moves.
It's really gross.

They found said gross head at the flea market in Pickering
so they bought it for us
and drove all the way from Pickering to deliver it!
Tonight, I start decorating for Halloween
(I know! I've been talking about it for weeks and yet,
all I have to show for it is two pumpkins sitting on my front step. Scary.)
But tonight is the night.
The decorating begins.
Last night I downloaded a bunch of scary music
(Bach's Toccata and Fugue, Greig, Halloween movie theme)
that I plan on playing to scary the kiddies.
I'm also going to do something like this:
I love the idea of creepy shadows in the windows.
Of course, I am quickly running out of time
and the rest of my week is looking mighty busy.
I was a t work for 11 1/2 hours today.
It's not good.
