Last night I impressed myself.

I did two things I've never done before.

I hooked up the tv and dvd player

(for the purpose of yesterday's post!)

and I fixed the folding door in the basement that is for the closet that houses our boiler and hot water heater

(we had the water heater replaced this summer because the one that was in there was from 1989 and it was a rental! Why would anyone keep something that ancient when you don't even own it!

When I called Enbridge to have it replaced, the guy on the phone said"

Oh yes. When someone has a unit this old, there are no additional charges to replace it.

He too seemed shocked that someone would keep something that's totally inefficient when there's no extra charge to replace it.

However....

These two things may not seem like anything much.

But I was proud of myself for figuring them out and seeing them through.

We'll see what I conquer next!
