This is a highway.

Not a river.

Highway 427 and Burnhamthorpe

People were stuck on a GoTrain for hours.

They were finally retrieved by the marine unit around 1a.m.

It was a lot of rain.

126 mm which set records.

Our power was out for about 2 1/2 hours

and I realized that we are woefully unprepared for power outages.

(Now on the shopping list - batteries for the radio.)

We are lucky that we are on high ground

our basement didn't flood

and we had no damage that I can see.

I had been buying flowers at Home Depot just before the rain started.

Needless to say, they don't require watering.
